One of the Giant Clams - Tridacna - like corals, has tiny plants in its tissues to give the clam nutrition in addition to the plankton it filters.  

This mosaic is made from my personal collection and is a collation of many hundreds of images taken on the spectacular reefs offshore from Port Douglas, It is created on super high quality photographic film, bonded to transparent acrylic. The effect is stunning, luminescent and defiantly follows our mantra......
